Ievgen Orlov

Ievgen Orlov was born in Ukraine. Future projects will lead him to the MET for Sparafucile and Commendatore, Deutsche Oper Berlin as Timur, Lodovico and Sparafucile, Oper Leipzig as Filippo, Teatro Municipal de Chile as Oroveso, among others. Most recent engagements include Israel Opera as Il Grande Inquisitore, Oroveso, Zaccaria and Oroveso at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Sparafucile at Staatsoper Hamburg, Il grande Inquisitore at Verdi Festival Teatro Regio di Parma. Since 2016-2017 Ievgen Orlov is solist member at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, were he has sung the parts of Il Commendatore, Colline, Bonzo, Varlaam, Pimen, Zuniga, Timur, Il Re, Sparafucile, Bosun, Angelotti.
2015-2106 season the singer performed at Teatro de la Maestranza Sevilla with Der Koch in König Kandaules, at the MET as Il Commendatore and Il Re, Klosterneuburg Festival as Monterone. 2014-15 performed Commendatore in Don Giovanni and Il Re in Aida at MET, Gremin at Deutsche Oper Berlin. During the season 2012-13 Ievgen Orlov sang Bonzo at Liceo Barcelona, Basilio at Teatro Nacional de Chile. Recent projects include, Oroveso at MET, P Guardiano and Calatrava at ABAO Commendatore at Opera de Oviedo, Zaccaria at Opera de Montreal and Festival Soirées Lyriques Sanxay, Sir Giorgio in Puritani. Ievgen Orlov has taken part in the YSP Salzburger Festspiele 2010. December 2010 has been invited as guest soloist for a Gala concert at the Opera de Quebec. 2011 sung the parts of Filippo II at Teatro de la Maestranza Sevilla (stage director Giancarlo del Monaco) Ramfis and Commendatore cv at the MET, Zaccaria and Padre Guardiano at ABAO Bilbao, Loredano and Commendatore at Los Angeles Opera.
In 1998 He started his studies at Donetsk musical college and was graduated in 2002 from cello class. In 2004 Ievgen Orlov began his vocal studies at P.I. Tchaikovsky National music academy of Ukraine. During the education period he was awarded in several international vocal competitions, among others: The art of XXI century (Kiyiv, 2008 – Grand Prix), Alchevskii vocal competition (Kharkov, 2007 – Grand Prix), Lysenko vocal competition (Kiyiv, 2007 – II prize), S.Krushelnytska vocal competition (Lviv, 2009 II prize). Ievgen Orlov is prize winner of the Operalia World Opera Competition 2010. Since 2006 Ievgen Orlov is soloist at the Ukrainian National Opera, where he has performed among others the parts of Gremin “Evgenii Onegin”, King Rene “Iolanta”, Maliuta and Sobakin “Tsar’s bride”, Banco “Macbeth”, Monterone “Rigoletto”, Conchak “Prince Igor”, Bonzo “Madam Butterfly”, The King of Egypt and Ramfis “Aida”, Don Basilio “The Barber from Seville”, Creont “King Oedipus”. His repertoire include as well the bass parts in Verdis and Mozarts “Requiem” and the Bachs Passions. The young singer has toured with Ukrainian National Opera in Russia and abroad and worked among others with the conductors Igor Blazhkov, Marco Armiliato, Daniel Oren, James Conlon, Placido Domingo, Riccardo Frizza, Alan Gilbert, Josep Pons, Alexander Vedernikov.
